HSC-LP Series Low-Height Pancake Lock-Nut Cylinders
Engineering Overview & Structural Features
The HSC-LP Series Low-Height Pancake Lock-Nut Hydraulic Cylinders are precision-engineered for critical lifting and long-term mechanical load holding in extremely confined vertical clearances. Rated for 700 Bar (10,000 PSI) working pressure with capacities from 60 to 520 Metric Tons, its threaded plunger rod and heavy-duty mechanical lock ring allow loads to be sustained mechanically for indefinite periods without maintaining hydraulic pressure. Standard equipped with integral tilt saddles, hard-chromed cylinder bores, and safety overstroke overflow ports.
Structural Features & Engineering Advantages
Mechanical Locking Nut Architecture
When the heavy-duty threaded lock ring is screwed down to physically engage the cylinder barrel, the full tonnage load is held mechanically, enabling complete depressurization of the hydraulic system with 100% safety.
Integral Tilting Saddle Fitted Standard
Supplied with an integral ball-and-socket tilting saddle as standard on all models, automatically compensating for up to 5° of structural deflection and side loading to protect the piston from binding.
QPQ Treated Piston & Lock Ring
Both the threaded plunger rod and the heavy locking ring receive specialized QPQ (Quench-Polish-Quench) nitrocarburizing treatment, providing exceptional surface hardness, anti-galling lubrication, and corrosion defense.
Safety Oil Overflow Restrictor Port
An engineered overflow port acts as a positive stroke limiter by bypassing hydraulic fluid back into the reservoir once max stroke is achieved, positively eliminating piston blow-out risks.
U-Cup Sealing & Hard Chrome Bore
Featuring a micro-polished hard chrome cylinder bore for maximum corrosion resistance, paired with high-performance industrial U-cup dynamic seals to eliminate pressure loss during intense bridge jacking.
Forged Alloy Body & Baked Enamel
Ultra-compact forged high-strength alloy steel pancake body engineered for extreme structural rigidity under 520-ton loads, coated with baked enamel for harsh outdoor construction and marine durability.

OEM Cross-Reference & Dimensional Interchangeability
The HSC-LP-Series is a single-acting, load-return low-height pancake lock-nut hydraulic cylinder engineered for sustained mechanical load holding in confined vertical clearances. Rated for 700 Bar (10,000 PSI) working pressure across 60 to 520 Metric Ton capacities, the mechanical lock nut threads down to physically support the load, allowing hydraulic pressure to be completely released. Standard equipped with a tilt saddle and overstroke overflow port for safe operation in bridge lifting and heavy construction maintenance. 60 - 520 Ton / 45 - 50 mm Stroke.
