HFS-W Series Hydraulic & Mechanical Flange Wedges
Engineering Overview & Structural Features
The HFS-W Series Hydraulic & Mechanical Flange Wedges provide 8 to 14 Metric Tons of parallel spreading force at 700 Bar (10,000 PSI), engineered specifically for pipeline maintenance, scheduled shutdowns, hydro-testing, and valve change-outs. Requiring a first-step access gap of only 6 mm and expanding smoothly up to 81 mm, the unique interlocking stepped wedge geometry prevents joint slip-out and eliminates flange surface damage.
Ultra-Slim 6 mm Tip Clearance
Entry wedge requires an insertion gap of only 6 mm (0.24"), allowing fast access into tight pipe joints, corroded flange pairs, and compact manifold connections.
Non-Slip Interlocking Wedges
Precision-machined stepped wedge arms maintain positive interlocking engagement under full load, preventing the tool from slipping out of the joint during spreading operations.
Included Safety Stepped Blocks
Each tool includes stepped safety blocks to securely lock flange separation up to 81 mm, allowing technicians to safely inspect faces and change gaskets with zero risk of sudden closure.
Dual Hydraulic & Mechanical Drives
Available in 14-Ton hydraulic drive with integrated single-acting spring return cylinder or 8-Ton mechanical ratchet drive with 310 mm reversible lever for non-hydraulic field mobility.

OEM Cross-Reference & Dimensional Interchangeability
Single-acting hydraulic and mechanical ratchet stepped wedge flange spreaders rated for 700 Bar (10,000 PSI), engineered for pipeline maintenance, shutdowns, testing, and valve change-outs with a 6 mm access gap and 8 to 14 Ton spreading capacities. 8 - 14 Ton Wedge Force.
