HFS-I Series Stepped Hydraulic Flange Spreaders
Engineering Overview & Structural Features
The HFS-I Series Stepped Hydraulic Flange Spreaders deliver highly reliable, non-destructive flange separation for high-pressure piping networks, offshore facilities, and heavy industrial plant maintenance. Utilizing a specialized stepped interlocking jaw architecture that requires only a 6.0 mm entry clearance, the tool delivers 140 to 240 kN (14 to 24 Metric Tons) of controlled spreading force per tool with a maximum parallel opening of up to 103.5 mm when configured with stepped accessory blocks. Available in manual mechanical ratchet, 700 Bar external hydraulic, and fully self-contained integral hand pump configurations, the HFS-I Series eliminates traditional hammering hazards and joint damage during gasket replacement and routine turnaround inspections.
360° Revolving & Detachable Handle
Engineered with an ergonomic revolving grip that rotates 360 degrees to facilitate smooth horizontal or vertical tool positioning in congested pipe racks, featuring a quick-detach mechanism for unhindered operation in severe spatial clearance restrictions.
Zero Pinch-Point & Safety Lanyard
Constructed with built-in operator pinch-point elimination and includes a standard 1.0 m heavy-duty safety lanyard for secure structural tethering during high-elevation or offshore flange maintenance.
Stepped Jaws & Extended Step Depth
Features an ultra-slim 6.0 mm entry tip clearance, increased step-depth geometry on upper wedge tiers, and narrow wear-resistant teeth that enable secure, slip-free progressive separation from 6.0 mm to 103.5 mm under full 240 kN rated loading.
Drop-Forged Build & Rapid Assembly
All primary structural spreading components are forged from high-tensile alloy steel for maximum fatigue resistance, supported by modular tooling architecture that ensures rapid field disassembly, seal inspection, and immediate reassembly.
Original engineering schematic comparing Mechanical (HFS-I1214TM, 290 mm), External Hydraulic (HFS-I2025TE, 312 mm), and Integral Hand Pump (HFS-I2025TI, 465 mm) envelopes alongside stepped block geometries and closed/opened kinematics.
OEM Cross-Reference & Dimensional Interchangeability
Mechanical ratchet, external hydraulic, and integral pump stepped flange spreaders rated for 700 Bar (10,000 PSI), engineered for pipeline overhaul, gasket replacement, and valve maintenance with 6 mm access gap across 140 to 240 kN spreading force. 14 - 24 Ton Stepped Spreaders.
